EMS Winter Concert – November 17th – 7pm

The Eustis Middle School Band Department under the direction of Gerry Ricke will be holding a Winter Concert on Thursday, November 17, 2011 held at the First Baptist Church of Eustis starting at 7:00pm.

 The one hour concert will feature the Mustang Steel Panology steel drum ensemble, EMS concert bands at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, and the award winning EMS Thundering Herd Jazz ensemble. The Eustis Middle Band Program hosts 150 musicians from sixth to eighth grade.

There will be a wide variety of music from calypso, to patriotic, to jazz standards. There is something to suit everybody’s musical tastes. Admission is free and it is general seating. For further information contact Gerry Ricke at 352-357-3366.

Welcome to the EMS Mustang Band Website

 Welcome to the 2011-2011 band year and parents welcome to the EMS Band Boosters! Through your child’s participation in the Eustis Middle School Band program you automatically qualify. The EMS Band Booster Organization is a volunteer organization that helps promote the band in the following areas:

A. Be Pro-Active in supporting Band at EMS through:

   1. Newspaper Articles  2. Invitations  3. Thank you cards   4. Emails/Letters  5. Other means of communication         6. Concert Attendance

B. Fund raising for:

    1. Equipment   2. Trips   3. Entry fees   4. Supplies

C. Chaperones 

D. Support group

E. Haul Equipment / Pull the trailer

F. Music Advocacy – Political and otherwise

 The EMS Band Boosters Organization will meet the SECOND Monday of every month (unless otherwise notated on the Band Calendar) at 6:00 PM in the EMS Band Room, throughout the school year. All parents are encouraged to attend.

 Please check the “forms” page for Committee Chairman Positions and job descriptions. Committee members are also needed to help.  Please contact me if you are willing and/or able to serve on a committee.

 Hopefully, everyone can help in some way, even if you cannot help on a committee or be a chairman.

 I look forward to seeing you at the next scheduled booster meeting.
