The 2010-2011 school year looks exciting for the EMS Band. New music, new ideas, new fundraisers, a new website, and a positive attitiude insure that the Eustis Middle School Band program will again be educational, fun, and successful. Everyone is welcome and everyone plays on our team.

The Eustis Middle School Band Department presents The Eustis Middle Jazz Superstars in Concert. This performance will be on Sunday, March 21^st at 3:00pm at the State Theatre, 109 N. Bay Street in Downtown Eustis. All tickets are $5.00 each, the concert is general seating, and seating will be limited to 200. Tickets are being sold by Eustis Middle School Jazz Ensemble Members. If you would like to purchase tickets, sponsor the concert, sponsor a student, become an EMS Music Education Partner, or obtain other information, contact Gerry Ricke at 352-357-3366. This event is a benefit to assist the EMS students in funding their trip to the Fiesti-val Invitational Music Festival in Myrtle Beach, SC, May 6-8, 2010.

This concert will feature the 2010 Eustis Middle Mustang Thundering Herd Jazz Ensemble. This is the current Jazz Ensemble consisting of seventh and Eighth Grade students from EMS. The Eustis Middle School Mustang Jazz band again received straight superiors ratings for the 2007 FBA Music Performance Jazz Band Evaluation building on its record of superiors for the last several years. The band actually received a standing ovation from the audience of peers (other middle school and high school bands), parents and visitors. As you may or may not know, Eustis Middle School has been chosen by FOX TV in Orlando as their “Cool School” of the week. FOX will be doing a live feed from our campus Wednesday, March 21, 2007 from 5AM –9AM.
